You've finished your degree and have embarked on the long road to licensure. Great! But now you've got to find a supervisor. Not as easy! I had excellent supervision pre-licensure, and I want you to have the same experience. I'm happy to offer clinical supervision to LPC candidates looking for a supervisor who is rooted in a person-centered model of supervision.
My areas of expertise include trauma (simple and complex), particularly religious/spiritual/cultic trauma. I also work with high IQ kids and adults. My passions in supervision include helping you process through ethical quandaries and countertransference, discerning the counseling model that works best for you, and developing your skills as a clinician. I will be both affirming and challenging, suggesting ways to work with clients and offering skill-development sessions where needed.
Please note that Pennsylvania requires a minimum of 150 hours of supervision, at least half of which must be individual, in-person sessions. Half of those hours must be supervised by a current LPC, and you must accrue one hour of supervision for every 20 hours of clinical experience (this includes indirect hours accrued).
