Virtual EMDR intensives

An intensive is simply a longer session. My standard session is 50 minutes. An intensive stretches that to anywhere from 90 minutes to 4 hours of EMDR therapy or Brainspotting, so we have more room to work before we have to wrap up for the day. It isn't a different kind of therapy; it's the same EMDR or Brainspotting we'd do in a regular session, just with more time.

Like everything I do, intensives happen by telehealth. You're in your own space, and I'm right there on the screen with you.

This is a decision we make together, not something you have to figure out on your own before you reach out. In my words from my fees page:

If we decide extended sessions for EMDR or Brainspotting, ranging from 90 min-4 hours, are appropriate for you, my regular rate will be multiplied by the time we choose (e.g., 2 hours=$400).

So we talk it through first: what you'd like to see change and whether a longer session makes sense for you right now. If it does, we pick the time together. If it doesn't, regular sessions are always there, and no worries at all!

A lot of the people I work with are therapists and healers themselves. If you're carrying a full caseload, a block of time set aside for your own work can be easier to protect than a weekly hour squeezed between clients. We can talk about what would fit your schedule.

Intensives are for adults in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Florida who are doing EMDR or Brainspotting with me. That might be complex trauma, religious trauma, or the weight you carry as a therapist. Not sure whether an intensive is right for you? That's exactly what we'll figure out together.
