About

About Heather

I'm a therapist and a theologian, and I offer trauma therapy online, by video, for clients in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Florida. Here's a little about me!

Hi, I'm Heather, and I've been providing counseling services since 2015. I launched Evergreen Counseling and Consulting, LLC in early 2020, and before that, I worked in the Atlanta suburbs for five years. I'm a therapist, theologian, parent, spouse, pet guardian, softball player, reader, weight lifter, and neurodivergent human. I also care a whole lot about helping people heal.

My background blends psychology, counseling, and theology—I hold a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Master’s in Professional Counseling, a Master’s in Theological Studies, and a Doctorate in Theology. If spirituality is something you’d like to integrate into therapy, I’m happy to do that—but if it’s not your thing, no worries at all!

I am EMDR certified, IFS trained, Level 2 trained in Deep Brain Reorienting, and Brainspotting trained, too. I use all these tools and more to help you create a life you want. This process is about you, so I'm happy to bring all my training to aid in your healing.

I take my privilege seriously and am always learning how to engage more deeply in justice work—both in the counseling profession and in the world.

I’m fiercely affirming of LGBTQ+ folks, as well as anyone who has been marginalized by race, ethnicity, religion, neurodiversity, ability, and more.
